“Summer weekends bring together all of my favorite things: friends, family, flowers from the garden and eating outside. After a morning of playing tennis or swimming, we’ll gather for a big group lunch that will stretch into early afternoon, knowing us. Almost everything — from the fresh flowers I pick in the morning and arrange in blue Imari vases or our spongeware pitchers to the vegetables we grill — comes from our garden. I love putting together beautiful tables for my friends. I’ll mix vintage linens, bamboo settings and hurricanes I have found on my travels with pieces from our home collection — our Spring Meadow glasses, spongeware plates and Jardin cocktail napkins. The cool blues, crisp whites and fresh greens feel right for summer and aren’t overpowering. Which keeps the focus on great conversation and great food.” — Tory
