What’s not to love about Miami? The weather is never not amazing, the beaches picturesque, and you’ll find no shortage of things to do. If you’ve had a little too much sun—read: SPF!—then check out what else the spirited city has in store. We’re especially fond of the Design District, a downtown hub of restaurants, shops, and world-class art. Below you’ll find our current top three pit stops. Added bonus: They’re all within a five-minute walk.

Calma Flora Winter Pop Up

Beloved cutting-edge Miami floral design studio Calma is hosting its Winter Pop Up in Miami’s Design District. Don’t be deceived by the name, though — the colorful shop practically screams summer. You’ll be won over by the mix of trippy colors and sculptural shapes; the arrangements here are works of art. Shop a mix of flowers and homeware in the vibrant space through March 31. 176 NE 41st Street.

Okay, we might be biased but our Design District store is pretty awesome… Stop in now to try on the Tory Burch Spring 2020 collection. Want to know what our editors have their eye on? We asked for you. 170 NE 40th Street.

De La Cruz Collection

Founded and funded by collectors Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz (who met as teenagers in Havana), this contemporary art gallery has been a highlight of the Design District since 2009. The airy, 30,000 square foot space is home to works by artists from Peter Doig and Christopher Wool to Laura Owens and Alex Katz. The Collection hosts annual exhibitions that are open and free to the public as well as providing lectures and artist-led workshops for the community. 23 NE 41st Street.
