Tory loves color, so it’s no surprise that some of her favorite artists were experts in filling large canvases with bold hues. The Whitney’s latest exhibit, Spilling Over: Painting Color in the 1960s, features paintings from the 1960s and early 1970s by an incredible array of artists, many of whom have inspired Tory over the years — Josef Albers, Helen Frankenthaler, Ellsworth Kelly, Morris Louis, Kenneth Nolan…The list goes on. Go see it for yourselves. For us, it passed with flying colors.
